At Arcadia, the blue star scripture memorization is an important part of the curriculum. Memorizing scripture helps students to not only learn about, but to also reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ. With this monthly recitation, it helps students to understand and live out these teachings in their daily lives. Scripture memorization also help students develop skills of critical thinking and self-reflection, as well as the development of a strong sense of self-discipline and perseverance, as they work to commit scripture to memory. The main impact is how this task develops life long habits as students grow closer to God. Learning and memorizing scripture is an invaluable part of our curriculum at Arcadia.
